Java SE 7 1.7.0_51 is now available for the VM in the Cloud Hosting plans with CentOS 6 (ISPmanager)

  • Jarsigner tool will print out an informational warning if timestamp is missing
  • New Security Slider settings
  • New default socket permission settings
  • Change in JAXP Xalan Extension functions
 
Fixes:
  • Fix for applets not loading and crashing Firefox on Mac OS X

  • Warnings now appear in all jar files, not just the main jar

Java SE 8 is Now Available!

Java SE 8 1.8.0_0 is now available for the VM in the Cloud Hosting plans with CentOS 6 (ISPmanager). Java SE 8 1.8.0_0  is a major release with significant new features and enhancements. 
 
 
Highlighted Features:
 
  • Lambda Expressions - new language feature which allows to treat functionality as a method argument, or code as data
  • HashMaps Performance Improvements with Key Collisions
  • Compact Profiles - applications that do not require the entire Java SE Platform can deployed and run on small devices
  • Client-side TLS 1.2 enabled by default
  • SSL/TLS Server Name Indication (SNI) Extension
  • JavaFX is now available for ARM platforms
  • New Calendar and Date-Time APIs
  • Java Mission Control 5.3 included
 
Because Java SE 8 is a major release, you cannot upgrade your existing Java SE 6 or Java SE 7 installation, but you will need to follow specific steps. Please review our release notes for detailed instructions.

Tomcat 7.0.52 is Now Available!

 

Tomcat 7.0.52 is now available for the VM in the Cloud Hosting plans with CentOS 6 (ISPmanager)

 

 
 
Dependency Changes:  
 
Tomcat 7.0 is designed to run on Java SE 6 and later.
Java Development Kit (JDK) is no longer needed to run Tomcat. JRE is sufficient. 
 
 
Fixes:
 
SSI and CGI are now disabled by default, see the Release Notes for instructions on how to enable them if needed

Apache HTTP Server 2.2.26 is a bug fix and security release, no new features have been added.
 
Highlighted Fixes:  
 
mod_ssl: enable support for ECC keys and ECDH ciphers
mod_ssl: Change default for SSLCompression to off, as compression causes security issues in most setups
mod_dav: Fix double encoding of URIs in XML and Location header
